Our Story

It started with a simple idea—and a community at its heart.

Lincoln Perk Coffee began with a simple idea: to create the kind of coffee shop we wished existed right here in Lincoln Park.

We love this town. It’s where we live, where our families are, and where we’ve built so many meaningful connections. But whenever you wanted that specialty coffee shop experience—a place to enjoy a handcrafted drink, meet a friend, work for a while, or simply slow down—you often had to leave town to find it.

So we decided to build it. Not just for ourselves, but for our entire community.

Lincoln Perk Coffee is locally owned, women-owned, and built with Lincoln Park at its heart. Our goal is to create more than a coffee shop—we want to create a welcoming gathering place where people feel comfortable, connected, and cared for.

The community is woven into every part of this space. Our signage was crafted by a local business right here in town. Key pieces of furniture were restored by a local artisan. Even our building is owned by the family behind Lincoln Park’s beloved local deli. Every detail reflects our commitment to supporting and celebrating the people who make this town special.

This coffee shop was built with love, purpose, and community in mind—and we’re honored to share it with you.

One thing we’ve learned throughout this journey is that a great coffee shop is about so much more than coffee. It’s about the experience. It’s about creating a space that feels warm, welcoming, and comfortable—a place where people feel valued from the moment they walk through the door.

From locally inspired design on our walls (including a large-scale illustration of Lincoln Park’s borders that spans the space) to the neighbors who helped bring this to life, every detail reflects our connection to this town.

Whether you’re meeting friends, working remotely, or grabbing your morning cup, come in, stay awhile, and enjoy something good.

Our Coffee

Great coffee starts long before it reaches your cup.

Finding the right coffee was one of the most important parts of building Lincoln Perk Coffee. We spent months tasting different coffees, meeting with roasters, learning about origins, and searching for a partner who shared our commitment to quality, consistency, and craftsmanship.

Our journey has taken us beyond the coffee shop and into some of the very countries where coffee is grown. Through our travels across Latin America, we’ve had the opportunity to learn more about coffee at its source, explore different growing regions, and deepen our appreciation for the farmers and communities behind every bean.

After a long journey of tasting, learning, and comparing, we found exactly what we were looking for with Coalition Coffee. Their passion for sourcing exceptional beans and roasting them with care aligned perfectly with the experience we wanted to create for our customers.

Brazil

Smooth, full-bodied beans with notes of chocolate and nuts from small farms in the highlands.

Guatemala

Bright and complex with hints of citrus and cocoa, grown at elevation in volcanic soil.

Peru

Clean and sweet with a delicate floral finish. A personal connection to Gina’s heritage.

Mexico

Rich and earthy with warm spice notes. A tribute to the family’s roots and traditions.

Our coffees are thoughtfully sourced from some of the finest coffee-growing regions in Latin America, with each origin bringing its own unique character and flavor profile. Every cup served at Lincoln Perk is the result of countless tastings, careful selection, and a commitment to offering coffee we’re genuinely proud to share.

As we continue to grow, we’re also laying the groundwork for something we’re very excited about: our own private-label coffee. While that’s still part of our future vision, we’re already exploring origins, relationships, and ideas that will one day allow us to bring a Lincoln Perk coffee collection to our customers—one that reflects our passion for quality, community, and the coffee-growing regions that inspire us.
